JCB Ranch Resort 140 hectors (345 acres) and bounded on 3 sides by one of Coast Rica’s oldest primary rain forests and water sheds, the Juan Castro Blanco Forest Reserve. Costa Rica has developed a strong doctrine to maintain this primary forest and all its beautiful Flora and Fauna in its natural habitat undisturbed for years to come by any further construction or encroachments of any type. This project has complete privacy and protection of the natural surrounding terrain. What a unique location to host a hydrotherapy resort located at the birth of the natural aquifers.
Two rivers flow all year long with pure uncontaminated mountain water which has been filtered through the reserve supplying all home sites and the all projects planned such as the aqua-agro production ponds of Tilapia and Guapote. The property has 5 gravity fed reserve tanks located on the property as well as 3 natural gravity fed artesian wells, (naciente de agua). This spring fed water seeping from these wells are teaming with natural unspoiled minerals and vitamins, truly mother earth’s gift to mankind for years to come servicing the homes and commercial businesses located on the resort.
The property is fronted by a publicly maintained lastre (rock) road 1.5 kilometers from the main paved highway. The main highway stretches from Ciudad Quesada (15 min. travel time from JCB), to Sarapiquí, (40min. travel from JCB). Internal road systems on the property are a unique system of rock cement car path with center and side lanes specifically constructed and maintained as a bike and horse path so all home owner and hotel visitors can horseback ride safely or mountain bike throughout the 10 kilometers of project roads.
All home sites have $$Million Dollar 360º views. To the north view the entire valley as far as the eye can see, including the mountain ranges of Nicaragua. In fact one can actually view the lake of Nicaragua and the boats through hand held binoculars. Views to the south are spectacular views of the mountain range of Juan Castro Blanco Forest Reserve and watershed. Most Quinta home sites have views of the active Volcano Arenal and 3 other dormant volcanoes as well as view of ciudad Quesada and the town of Agua Zarcas.
